270 degree hinges, add on for our gates

Our standard hinges are interior door hinges and they allow the gates to open 180°, but if you have a setting in which you would like your gate stored at 270°, this listing needs to be purchased along with your gate.

The jambs for gates using these hinges are mounted on the front side of the post or wall instead of between them. The gate will need to be built wider than your space to work with these hinges so that the gate is stored properly when it's open. To make sure you have enough room for the swing of the gate, you add the width of your space to the post or wall thickness (at the widest point), plus add an extra 2 1/2" because of the way the hinges work. That will give you the swing of the gate from the corner of the wall or post the hinges are on. You don't need to order your gate this width, you'll just need to make sure you have room for the extra wide swing. This charge takes care of the pricing associated with the wider width and shipping charges, although if your wall or post is wider than 4", you will need to order the next gate size up along with these hinges. If you don't have room for the wide swing, these hinges will work with a bi fold door.

This particular customer didn't have room to swing a single door open because of her narrow hallway so we built a bi fold gate for her. We'd be glad to build yours like this if you have a similar setting. You will need to place your order for double doors and order this listing as well.
